VR for mental health

The private, focused and uninterrupted nature of a VR experience creates a number of excellent use cases for VR in the mental health sector.

VR can be used as a tool for personal growth and stress management, but also as a tool for both coaches and professional clinicians.

Mindfulness

VR Headsets create a sanctuary away from the noise and distraction of the world, wherever you are.  Mindfulness and meditation practice can be bostered by a peaceful enviroment of your choosing.  The benefits of mindful meditation have been well documented - VR makes it possible.

Behaviour modelling

VR can be used as a positive intervention tool to demonstrate preferential  behaviour by modelling that behaviour in constructed scenes.  It can also help those who have come from damaged and dysfunctional pasts to see what healthy human interactions and dynamics look like.  Sadly, they may never have had the chance to be exposed to this.

Private Therapy

VR offers a range of opportunities to integrate mental health experiences alongside traditional therapy.

This can include daily VR sessions in addition to traditional clinician appointments.  As AI technology progresses, question and response tools also become available.
